Madonna, 'queen of pop music' who turned fifty last week has started her world tour 'Sticky & Sweet' from a Welsh city Cardiff on Saturday. She performed 'Candy Shop' in front of 40,000 screaming fans in the city. She wore French fashion house Givenchy designed black leotard-style outfit besides knee-length black boots.
Factually, 'Sticky & Sweet' comprises some 50 dates of musical performances and would conclude in the month of 18th December in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The performance included some of her 20 hit songs spanning her pop career of nearly three decades. U.S. rappers Pharrell Williams and Kanye West part of her latest chart-topping album 'Hard Candy' appeared in video clips at Cardiff show.
With 'Sticky and Sweet' Madonna expects to shatter her own record for the highest-grossing tour ever by a female singer. Also, she wants to prove through reinvention what it takes to pull in young and old. According to tour promoter Live Nation the tour targets to gross more than $250 million.
