Bollywood director Madhur Bhandarkar is planning to make a realistic film based in an Indian village. The acclaimed director has decided to come out with a movie on Indian villages in order to fulfill his promise to yesteryears' actor Manoj Kumar. While talking to the media, Bhandarkar said the veteran actor has often asked him to make a realistic movie on Indian villages. The director said that he has promised Manoj Kumar to make a film after finding interesting subject.
Manoj Kumar has praised the works of Madhur Bhandarkar by saying that he is one of the very few directors in Bollywood who could deliver good movies. In reply, Bhandarkar said that it is a great honour for him to get such recognition from a veteran actor of Indian cinema. He said that he is a big fan of Manoj Kumar and loved to watch 'Roti Kapda Aur Makaan'.
The veteran actor of yesteryear has liked all of Bhandarkar's works including 'Page 3', 'Corporate', 'Traffic Signal' and 'Fashion'. According to Madhur Bhandarkar, besides praising his films, the actor has often discussed many of the films as a critic. Manoj Kumar very often shares his reactions over a particular scene of a film, informed Bhandarkar. Talking about Manoj Kumar's works, Bhandarkar said that there is always something to learn from his cinema.
