The IT arm of Larsen & Turbo, L&T Infotech, has entered into partnership with Micro Focus of Britain to set up a centre of excellence in Mumbai.
Micro Focus provides the companies with solutions to improve their businesses.
The centre of excellence is aimed at helping L&T Infotech to expand and accelerate the delivery of products and solutions to its global customers.
The agreement is aimed at addressing the new lines of business for the application modernisation and migration as well as to enhance skill development around Micro Focus products. The centre will also act as the exhibition point for the solutions and practices to existing as well as prospective customers.
"Following an extensive evaluation, we decided to partner with Micro Focus," said L&T Infotech chief executive Sudip Banerjee.
"It was clear that the Micro Focus migration and modernisation platform provided a very low-risk, cost-effective and rapid deployment solution, giving dramatic return on investment to our customers."
