The lengthy march to Islamabad by the thousands of Pakistani lawyers and workers demanding reinstatement of judges sacked by President Pervez Musharraf concluded on a bitter note. This happened because of some lawyers and political activists who stressed upon staging a sit-in outside the Parliament House and blamed Aitzaz Ahsan of joining hands with the government for a deal. Around 50 protestors attempted to climb up the ship containers stationed on the D Chowk in order to enter the cordoned off area that houses the Parliament building, President House and Supreme Court. These protestors not only removed the barbed wires, but also thrashed some security personnels.

They stated that they have been assured that their agitation will go on till the time their demands get fulfilled. Aitzaz Ahsan, on the other hand, who is being blamed of conniving with the government, is the president of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA). He has been under arrest periodically in 2007 for spearheading the demand for the restoration of Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry back as the Chief Justice. Ahsan delivered a very emotional speech to protestors pertaining the allegations slapped on him. He underscored that they should recall that he had once even turned down the offer of premiership made by the president if he withdrew support for the deposed chief justice.
