Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar and a parliamentary delegation departed on Saturday for being the participants at the 121st Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, which is slated to take place in Geneva.
 
Along with six MPs, the Lok Sabha speaker will be participating in the conference, slated to take place between Oct 19 and 21.
 
The Indian delegation will discuss issues related to global food security, human trafficking and fight against organised crime.
 
The delegation will also participate in a panel discussion on treatment and care for AIDS and challenges for international humanitarian law and human rights.
