American singer, Lionel Richie is on cloud nine after his daughter Nicole Richie gave birth to a baby boy and he is already ready to spoil his grandson.
Lionel Richie admitted that he has already bought little boy a ‘football helmet and cleats’ and cannot wait to spoil him even more.
Nicole Richie gave birth to son, Sparrow James, last week with beau Joel Madden. The newborn is the pair's second child, they welcomed daughter Harlow Winter last year 2008.
According to sources, the singing legend is overjoyed as he had never seen his daughter so happy.
Lionel Richie said, "I am so proud of Nicole and Joel. Nicole is the happiest woman ever. She is just in total control. I'm the one that's nervous. He looks just like Harlow. All babies sort of look the same as their siblings, but this is identical."
Talking about Sparrow's big sister, Lionel joked, "Harlow right now is enjoying the baby until she finds out it’s staying."
