Christmas has come early for more than 500 Lil Wayne fans who received the rapper's new rock album almost two months before its release - thanks to a shipping mishap.
After countless delays, Rebirth will officially hit stores and the Internet on 1 February (10) - but a few hundred copies were sent to Amazon.com customers who pre-ordered the album.
Sources tell Billboard.com the online merchant sent copies of the album to some customers on its previous release date - 15 December.
An Amazon spokesman didn't respond to an e-mail request for a comment.
The album was initially supposed to be released on 7 April (09).
