LG has launched GSM Tri Band-enabled handset KP199 in Indian market. The mobile phone weighs 84.5 gm, and measures 105 x 46 x 15.5 mm. official release from the company states that the handset will be able to offer a talk time of up to 11 hours and a standby time of up to 30 days. The cell phone is powered by a high-capacity 1350mAh battery.

 

The major features of the handset are: it has a 1.77-inch TFT 262K color display. Video recording could be done with the help of a VGA camera. The handset has MP3 player; Java, GPRS, and Bluetooth with A2DP connectivity. Writing about its memory, it has 60 MB of internal memory with microSD support. The handset is made USB compatible.

 

The striking feature of the handset is its mobile tracking system. In the Anti Theft Mobile Tracker system, when the phone is lost or stolen and the finder tries to insert any other SIM, the phone automatically starts sending messages on two pre-stored numbers. With the help of the SMS, receiver could locate out the location of mobile.
