LG Electronics has come up with a unique mobile video phone that can be put on the wrist just like a watch. The world's first 3G watch phone features a touch-screen dialing system with a camera and an in-built speaker. Endowed with high-end features, the watch phone enables the users to make video calls and access
high-speed internet.
The mobile phone also incorporates a technology that can recognise voices and transform text to speech. The 3G watch phone comes with a Bluetooth function and also works as an MP3 player. With a 1.43-inch (3.63-centimetre) screen, the mobile phone measures 0.56 inches in thickness. As per media reports, the tiny watch phone will be launched in Europe by next year. The product will be showcased at the 2009 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas from Jan 8 to 11.
The new multi-tasking device from LG is sure to attract several techno savvy people all round the globe after its market launch. The South Korea-based LG Electronics is involved in array of manufacturing operations ranging from mobile phones to home appliances.
