In consonance with the holy month of Ramazan, the world's leading consumer electronics company LG Electronics has introduced television in Saudi Arabia that has got the holy Quran built in. These TV sets, thus, can be used for dual purposes - as a general entertainment medium as well as for worshipping.

The LG Electronics Company informed that their television permits the viewers to read the Quran, search and bookmark passages as well as listen to scriptures. It also has the 'Time Machine DVR' technology that can be used for recording television programmes and playing them back over again.

Containing all 114 verses or suras, the users can search for specific suras and even bookmark around 10 favorites. There television has also got a multi-lingual interface for navigation purpose. The TV screen will display both Arabic as well as Farsi. At the top of the television screen, there will be a status bar that will display the sura name, verse number and day time. The user also has the option to just listen to the Quran.
