In order to cater to the needs of the middle class people, LG Electronics has come up with its low-cost touch-screen handset KP500. The latest touch-screen version from LG contains all the requisite features that are found in other luxury phones. It incorporates 3-inch screen with 240-by 400-pixel resolution. With 8 GB expandable memory, the KP500 also has multi-media features like playing multiple video and audio segments. The large screen of the new phone enables one to view Office documents and PDF files.
The president and CEO of LG's mobile communications company, Skott Ahn spoke about the need to launch low-cost touch-screen phone. He said that in an opinion poll conducted by the company it was found that massive number of consumers wished to use low-cost touch screen phones. The company thus aims to offer high-quality touch-screen phones to these consumers at low price. With all prominent features of touch-screen phone, the LG KP500 will give a tough challenge to other major touch-screens.
Although no announcement has been made regarding the pricing of LG KP500, the company confirmed about launching the touch-screen phone at affordable rates. In fact, the company claimed to market the phone at such a low cost that was 'never offered before'. The new KP500 weighs only 3.1 ounces which makes it the most-sort-after touch-screen phones in the market. The LG KP500 will be available at the end of October 2008 in European market.
