LG and Verizon Wireless have announced the launch of LG Cosmos handset that will be available to the customers via Verizon from March 25.  
 
The LG Cosmos comes with a candy bar design with stylish look and metallic finish. It features a 2 inches, 262K TFT display and has a slide-out QWERTY keyboard that can provide easy text messaging. Apart from that, the device is equipped with many features like Bluetooth 2.1, GPS, micro USB charging port, speaker-independent voice commands and access to social networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook and MySpace.
 
For the photography enthusiasts, the LG Cosmos phone has a 1.3MP camera that comes with three different resolutions, zoom up to 2.0 times, image editor to zoom, rotate and crop any picture and noise reduction to enhance image quality in low-light environments. The camera is also customized with shutter/cue sound, brightness, white balance, colour effects, photometry, self-timer and night mode to suit the user’s need.
 
The LG Cosmos handset can provide talktime of up to 6 hours and standby time of up to 576 hours.
 
LG Cosmos will hit the stores on March 25 and is expected to come with a price tag of $29.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate. There is also a new two-year customer agreement.
