Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi entered the mixed doubles semis with their respective partners at US Open.
Leander Paes, who has teamed up with Cara Black of Zimbabwe, defeated Rennae Stubbs and Robert Lindstedt in the quarters.
The Indo- Zimbabwean pair won their quarter-final match by 7-5, 3-6 (10-6). The duo will face Su-Wei Hsieh and Kevin Ullyett in the semis.
Mahesh Bhupathi and Liezel Huber of USA crushed eighth seeded Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Nenad Zimonjic in straight sets of 6-4, 6-3.
The Indo-American pair will play against the unseeded pair of Carly Gullickson and Travis Parrott in their semi-final match.
Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi have also made it into men’s doubles quarterfinals with their partners. Paes and Lukas Dlouhy advanced into the quarters with a 7-5, 6-4 win over the Austrian duo of Julian Knowle and Jurgen Melzer.
They will challenge seventh-seeded pair of Wesley Moodie and Dick Norman to reserve a place in the semis.
