The Indo- Czech pair of Leander Paes and Lukas Dlouhy was ousted at the ATP World Tour finals in London. American Bryan brothers, Bob and Mike crushed the Paes- Dlouhy combo in straight sets.
Paes and Dlouhy went down 3-6, 4-6 in a Group B match on Wednesday evening. The Bryans broke the Indo-Czech pair's serve twice in the 84-minute match and won 78 per cent of points on serve.
Paes and Dlouhy had lost their opening match to Lukasz Kubot and Oliver Marach and do not have a chance to qualify for the semi-finals.
Paes said,"It was bit of a rough outing in the last two matches. It’s a bit strange because we won two Grand Slams this year and the last two days we've been pretty much off rhythm. Could put it down to many reasons. But, at the end of the day it's something we need to look at in the drawing board."
The Bryan brothers are well poised to finish the year on No.1 ranking, with rivals Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic's defeat on Tuesday evening. The American combo will become the number one doubles team if they win their remaining matches and claim the title.
