An easy victory over the rival team comprising South African Rik De Voest and Australia's Ashley Fisher has propelled Leander Paes of India and his Czech partner Lukas Dlouhy into the quarterfinals of the men's doubles at the ongoing US Open.

The Indo-Czech partners defeated their opponents 6-3 6-3 in a lopsided third round encounter. These two will next play against the winners of the other third round match between the top seeded Canadian-Serb pair of Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic and Robert Lindstedt and Jarkko Niemein.
