India's Leander Paes has continued with an outstanding performance at the ongoing US Open championship. Though he put up a disappointing show with compatriot Mahesh Bhupathi at the recently concluded Beijing Olympics, this time around he has fought back furiously.

Leander Paes has managed to enter the semi-final round of the men's doubles as well as the finals of the mixed doubles event at the ongoing US open with his respective partners in New York. The Indian tennis ace and his Czech partner Lukas Dlouhy advanced to the semi-finals by ousting Sweden's Robert Lindstedt and Finland's Jarko Nieminen by 6-3 6-7 (2) 6-3.

They will next face Argentine pair of Maximo Gonzalez Juan Monaco. In the mixed doubles event of 2008 US Open, Paes and Zimbabwe's Cara Black defeated the Swede-Russian pair of Jonas Bjorkman and Nadia Petrova 6-4 6-4. The two of them will next play against American Liezel Huber and Briton Andy Murray in final round.
