The Indian-Zimbabwean pair had a good start in the semi-final match. Even though the duo managed to secure the first set, 6-2, easily, they bowed down to the Su-Wei Hsieh and Kevin Ullyett duo during the second set, where the latter duo claimed a 3-6, making the score level 1-1.
The third set was a tough one for the Leander Paes- Cara Black duo. They had to struggle to win the final set, which was indeed a marathon race. Finally, they managed to seal the final set for a 10-5 to enter the final round of US Open.
Earlier on Monday, Paes and Black had taken over Rennae Stubbs and Robert Lindstedt for a 7-5, 3-6 (10-6) to play against Su-Wei Hsieh and Kevin Ullyett in the semi final match.
