India's Leander Paes and Zimbabwean Cara Black defeated Brazil's Andre Sa and Japanese Ai Sugiyama 6-3, 6-3 on Thursday to storm into the semi-finals of Wimbledon mixed doubles.

India's Leander Paes and Zimbabwean Cara Black defeated Brazil's Andre Sa and Japanese Ai Sugiyama 6-3, 6-3 on Thursday to storm into the semi-finals of Wimbledon mixed doubles.

The top seeded Paes and Black took just over an hour to beat the opponents.

Paes and Black broke the opponents twice in the first set and once in the second to register an easy victory. Sa and Sugiyama had their chances but lost 6 break point opportunities in the match.

The US Open champions will now face Australian Stephen Huss and Spaniard Virginia Ruano Pascual, seeded 12th, who defeated the Australian pair of Peter McNamara and Paul McNamee 6-4, 7-6 (6).
