The world's largest mobile manufacturer, Nokia has launched three new CDMA phones such as the Nokia 1506, the Nokia 6316 and the Nokia 3806.
According to company sources, the Nokia 1506 set will be released to the Chinese markets at the end of 2009. The other sets, the Nokia 6316 and the Nokia 3806 will be released in the first quarter of the next year.
The company also said that it was thinking of the CDMA sets for quite some time as the mobile market had seen so many GSM sets.
According to the CDMA development group, the CDMA sets are very much popular in the U.S. and South Korea markets. Statistics shows that till June there were almost 500 million CDMA subscribers all over the world.
GSM sets are growing popular due to their global standard. A GSM report reveals that there are about 3.45 billion users till the end of second quarter of 2009.
