Islamic terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) has sent a letter to Jhansi Railway Police, threatening to kill Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and other leaders, police said Friday.
 
"Security of the chief minister has been enhanced after the letter was received by Jhansi Railway Police Superintendent Thursday," a police officer said.
 
The officer said the authenticity of the letter is being inspected.
 
Police spokesman Prakash Dixit confirmed that a letter purported to have been written by the LeT had been received in Jhansi.
 
"Besides Chouhan, some other senior leaders have also been threatened through the letter," he said.
