Larsen & Toubro has clinched engineering orders worth Rs 3,816 crore from a number of clients in the metal industry.

In alliance with international technology partners, the Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has clinched engineering orders worth Rs 3,816 crore from a number of clients in the metal industry. The L&T Company officials informed that their alliance with the Outotec GmbH of Germany and Paul Wurth of Italy has brought them orders worth Rs 2,545 crore from Tata Steel.

 

However, the share of the L&T in the order will be Rs 1,578 Crore. As part of its capacity expansion plan, the Tata Steel is setting up a six million tonne pellet plant and a blast furnace at Jamshedpur. In partnership with Outotec, the L&T has also bagged a Rs 753-crore order for constructing a sinter plant for SAIL’s Rourkela Steel plant in Orissa.
