Lafangey Parindey Review- Lafangey Parindey Movie Review
Lafangey Parindey
Lafangey Parindey
Star Cast: Deepika Padukone, Neil Nitin Mukesh
Director: Pradeep Sarkar

Lafangey Parindey mainly depicts the saying “Simple Living and High Thinking”. The movie is about Nandu (Neil Nitin Mukesh) and Pinky (Deepika Padukone), the  youngsters living in Mumbai backstreets who do not have fame or money but they aim higher and want to move up from their current condition. This is a tale which has been told in many movies in many different ways. This quest for success is topped by a blooming love affair between the two.

Nandu is a Mumbai street fighter who is young, angry and has enormous muscle power and can knock off his opponent in just a single blow. Neil plays this type of a role for the first time. He is shown as very fierce and he has a go-get-it attitude. His character can give complex to all the boxers because Nandu can even knock down his foes while he is blindfolded phew!!! that is just too much.

Nandu makes his own rules until his heart melts away on meeting Pinky Palkar. Pinky is a beautiful, talented extraordinarily optimistic but, blind girl. She wants to fly high in life. Though, blind but she dreams big with her inner eyes. She works in a shopping mall but, other than that she is an excellent dancer on skates. She is ambitious and determined to prove herself. She has all the ingredients essential for winning in life except the fact that she is blind.

This is how the movie has the name Lafangey Parindey as it shows two different people of different lives, ambitions, dreams and purpose but whom destiny brings together. The girl is blind and so, cannot see but, the boy has sight but doesn’t need to see. It is all about their journey together facing and overcoming all the obstacles coming on their way.

Nandu is famous by the name One Shot Nandu because he can defeat his opponents in a single shot. Though rough and tough, he has a soft corner for Pinky. Nandu works for Usman Ali (Piyush Mishra) every Friday where he has to fight blindfolded and has a record of winning every time. Pinky loses her eyesight in an accident but, Nandu helps to regain her confidence and she starts seeing through smell, touch, sound and through her heart.

The music of the movie is quite good composed by R Anandh and lyrics have been penned down by Swanand Kirkire.
