The recently released Deepika and Neil starrer ‘Lafangey Parindey’s’ rights have been acquired by Colors channel. It is the first such deal between the movie producers Yash Raj films and the channel.

 

 

Gaurav Gandhi, Group CCO of the channel adds, “Colors has always been a trend-setter in bridging the gap between the two screens. With this association with YRF, we have taken a step further in bringing together properties which share a common theme of identifying and encouraging the real Indian talent.”

 

In the deal, the television reality show "India's Got Talent - Khoj 2" will also get promoted and the movie will also get telecast soon on the channel.

 

Akshaye Widhani, vice president, Yash Raj Films adds, “Lafangey Parindey' will soon be showcased on Colors. We are extremely happy to have entered this unique association, involving marketing in-film integration and the film's consequent acquisition of its television rights, with one of the leading channels in the country.”

 

In the present market scenario there is intense competition among the television channels to bag the latest Bollywood releases. Colors have been successful in bagging the rights of ‘Kites’, ‘Raavan’ and ‘Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani’ till now.
