Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader L K Advani on Monday told that he wants to quit politics. Advani, who was visiting Swami Vishwesh Teerth at the Udupi Pejawar Math in New Delhi, told his spiritual mentor he keen on retiring from politics.
But his spiritual guru has asked him not to ‘quit’ politics.
The swami said: "He (Advani) came here on a religious visit. While chatting, he expressed his desire to retire from politics. But I suggested him not to take any hasty decision," the swami said.
He "advised Advani to continue in politics as the country and party needs him".
