Japanese electronics major Kyocera has launched its first Android phone, the Zio M6000.
 
The Zio M6000 is a tri-band CDMA EVDO Rev. A handset that supports 800/1700/1900MHz bands. The phone runs Android 1.6, but it’s not clear if it will get an Android 2.0 update later on.
 
Kyocera Android Phone has a 3.5-inch, capacitive, WVGA with 800 x 400 pixel resolution and boasts of many features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth (with A2DP) and GPS, 3.2MP camera with a dedicated camera key and a multitude of camera options. It can record VGA videos at 30 fps.
 
Other features with the Zio M6000 include a digital compass, accelerometer and support for microSD cards up to 32GB.
 
It is said that this Android phone will be compatible with select carriers in U.S. However, there is no word about its pricing or release date till now.
