According to Union Petroleum Minister, Murli Deora, government does not have any plans to take over the distribution of Krishna-Godavari gas. The Anil Ambani group and Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries are having a fight over the same.

"The old days of nationalisation are gone," Deora told.

The production of gas at the offshore block was started by Reliance Industries from April with 31 million units a day, which will go up to 80 million units within a year.
