Kolkata Knight Riders are all set for an important clash against Kings XI Punjab today at the PCA stadium in Mohali. Kolkata has lost three matches in a row and are placed at the fifth spot in the points table. Punjab on the other hand has won three out of their five matches and is placed fourth in the points table.

 

After winning their matches against Bangalore Royal Challengers and Deccan Chargers, Dada's team has failed to impress in the tournament. Punjab has come good in the tournament even if they have lost stars like Simon Katich and Brett Lee. On the other hand Kolkata are yet to prove that they can win even without the international stars in their team.  

 

Punjab has found an explosive batsman in the form of Shaun Marsh who plundered 85 runs against the Deccan Chargers. Yuvraj Singh, Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardena have also shown their class with the bat. The bowling looks impressive with the likes of Irfan Pathan, Piyush Chawla, Sreesanth and VRV Singh.

 

Kolkata will be looking forward to their openers to give them a solid start. The bowling looks good with the presence of Ishant Sharma, Umar Gul, Agarkar, Ashok Dinda and Murali Kartik. The Kolkata Knight Riders will look forward to complete their theme of ‘Korbo, Lorbo, Jitbo Re’ in their all important match against Punjab. The match will be broadcasted live on Set Max from 8pm.
