The collections from ace Bollywood fashion designer, Manish Malhotra, were indeed a visual treat for the audience at the final day of Kolkata Fashion Week-II, which happened on Sunday evening.
Those who walked the ramp for Manish Malhotra include Amrita Rao, Ronit Roy, Raima Sen, Riya Sen, director Rituparno Ghosh and footballer Bhaichung Bhutia.
Amrita Rao walked the ramp in a red lehenga whereas Ronit dazzled in his grey and black striped sherwani, which carried embroidery. Bhaichung was spotted in a grey-coloured sherwani.
Rituparno, Raima and Riya, who were the guests of honour at the vent, also walked the ramp with the ace designer.
"My label is known as couture clothing. I think my clothes are wearable. For example, I feel the sherwani is a lot more textured than most embroideries. For women it has a lot of net. It's more clothes than jewellery," Manish told reporters after the show.
He said: "As a designer I feel it is important to make relevant clothes so that they (buyers) can relate to them or aspire to buy them."
