Recently Nepal declared a public holiday as a mark of rich tributes to Nepali women on 100th International Women's Day celebration where our first Indian woman Police Service officer Kiran Bedi turned up to boost the spirit of Nepali women.

 

The Magsaysay Award winner Bedi who had contributed a immensely for the reform Indian prisoners arrived in the country on a three-day visit at the invitation of the Federation of Women Entrepreneurs' Associations of Nepal (FWEANS) and to assist their fund-raising program.

 

Age of the sixty one-year-old was unable to daunt her dynamic spirit and on account of her professional experience when she faced tough challenges, she stated, "But while I was in service, my job was my priority.Today, people are my priority. I don't think politically, I am people-oriented. I did not stop but went forward because it is not in my nature to stop.”

 

Regarding women between the two nations she stated, "Both are beautiful, love their country and believe in reforming society.Both are innovative, want reformation, peace and a better quality of life."

 

Praising uncommon spirit of women’s power, she mentioned, "Biologically, women are unselfish. They are the ones who give birth to others. A mother is never selfish, she lives for her children, family and society. Women are by nature reformers "

A strong beliver in Gandhian policy stated, "I believe in welfare policing, nor punitive policing. I believe in Gandhian policing and upholding the truth. It posed a challenge to some people who thought that if the entire police force in Delhi became 100 percent honest and upright, it would raise questions as to why it can't happen in other states."

Nice to see our strong female force, Bedi keeping the spirit of women higher in other regions apart from India.
