Kingston has launched its new USB flash drive named DataTraveler Black Box. The device has gained certification by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
The flash drive is loaded with several features. It is waterproof and compatible with Windows Vista (32 bit), Windows 2000(SP3, Sp4) and Windows XP (SP1, SP2) operating systems. It can read data up to 24 MB per second and write data up to 20 MB per second. The drive is coated in titanium steel case and is available in three configurations, 2 GB, 4GB and 8GB.
Another feature of the drive is that if you type 10 wrong passwords in a row then the drive will get automatically locked and cannot be accessed. Thus data of extreme importance can be transferred very safely.
