The long wait is now going to end. Kingfisher's 2009 calendar, looked forward to by most of the hot-blooded males around the world, is going to be launched soon. The photo-shoot for the calendar has already been completed, by photographer Atul Kasbekar. He photographed beauties from around the world, including Katya Melnikova from Uganda, Mimi Blix from Norway as well as Moni Kangana Dutta and Tamara Moss from India, for the calendar.
Thailand's Six Senses Hideaway Resorts served as the venue of the photo-shoot for Kingfisher's 2009 calendar. As per Kasbekar, the images for 2009 calendar have been photographed for a graphic layout that has two images per page. He further elaborated that the calendar will come across as an amazing fusion of beauty, fashion and lifestyle, resulting in a delightful spa for the soul. Kingfisher's 2009 calendar is expected to bring forth an electric mix of sensuality and simplicity.
For the 2009 calendar, Kingfisher's models have sported swimwear from international brands like Alberta Ferretti, Jean Paul Gaultier and Diane von Furstenberg. The accessories are from Lanvin and Fendi. Vijay Mallya, Kingfisher Airlines Chairman, said that he wanted the photographs for his calendar to be full of sensuality, but maintain an understated appeal. Simplicity and natural elements were the main emphasis of the photo-shoot. The calendar is not on sale. Rather, its copy will be sent to a handful of people across the globe, directly by Mallya.
