Kingfisher Airlines has registered a net loss of Rs.419 crore for the second quarter of the 2009-10 fiscal which ended Sep 30.

Private carrier Kingfisher Airlines has registered a net loss of Rs.419 crore for the second quarter of the 2009-10 fiscal which ended Sep 30 against the net loss of Rs.483 crore registered during corresponding period last fiscal.
 
The net income from operations has dipped by 13% to be reported at Rs.1,142 crore for the  Q2 of 2009-10 fiscal as against the Rs. 1,323 crore registered last year.
 
Kingfisher's market share was over 23% last month and its load factor increased by at least 9 percent despite cut in its operations by 17 percent in the domestic sector.
 
The airline has undergone losses despite restructuring its operations and having adopted cost control methods due to high operational costs and global economic turmoil which has hit hard the aviation industry worldwide.
