Kevin Pietersen has reportedly relinquished the job of England captain following the breakdown of his relationship with team's coach Peter Moores According to media reports, the captain of English cricket team decided to the quit job after finding that his relationship with Peter Moores has reached the extreme breaking point. Pietersen had been in spat with Morris over the running of the team.

The dispute evolved up when Moores declined Pietersen's wish to induct former captain Michael Vaughan for the West Indies tour. Prior to that incident, the relationship between the captain and coach was not so good. According reports, Pietersen had no professional respect for Moores, whom he considered pretty mediocre as a coach. Kevin Pietersen was made the captain of England last year following the resignation of Michael Vaughan.

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) had entrusted Managing Director Huge Morris to sort out the issues between the captain and coach before leaving for West Indies. The English side is supposed to play one test and one-day series in West Indies. The two sides will also clash against each other in May and after that, there is Twenty20 World Cup. Pietersen who is currently in South Africa on holidays has put the ECB in a very awkward situation with his recent move.
