Kerala-based business hotel the Muthoot Plaza is likely to celebrate 'Cookie Baking Day' and distribute over 500 cookies to underprivileged children. The hotel has decided to feed the underprivileged children on December 17 as a part of its corporate social responsibility activities. About 50 wives of leading businessmen will make cookies with 10 kg of dough at the hotel premises.
The programme is being organized by SMILES, a charity organisation of the Kerala hotel. SMILES works with Marion Play Home, an NGO that takes care of poor and orphaned children. While speaking on the cookies baking day, the hotel owner John Muthoot said about 20 children from the Marion Play Home will be handed the cookies and after that, they will be distributed to other less privileged children.
State Health Minister P.K. Sreemathi will be the chief guest of the cookies baking day at Muthoot Plaza. The minister will select the best three paintings made by the underprivileged children. Mr John Muthoot said that the three selected paintings will be used by his hotel as season’s greeting cards for Christmas and New Year.
