Even though it had been the birthday for the Kerala Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan, it was just another day for him with his hands full of business. He is now 86.
The day began as usual with a slight variation from the daily routine when his wife K. Vasumathy gave him a glass of 'payasam'.
The Kerala Cm, while addressing the media, mentioned that today was also yet another day for him and did not carry any special value.
"I got a call from Prime Minister Manmohan Singh who wished me a long life. I said thanks," Achuthanandan said.
The CPI-M leader was busy attending public functions in Thiruvananthapuram on his birthday also.
