‘KBC’ Triggers TRP’s ‘Bigg Boss’ Struggles  Amitabh Bachchan |
The start of the first episode of ‘KBC’ hosted by India’s one and only megastar Amitabh Bachchan was tremendous, it triggered a great TRP rate and gave a tough nose to ‘Bigg Boss’ on its first telecast.
All other television shows which come at the time band of 9-10.30 pm, will be severely affected by the fresh ‘KBC’ episodes. The show hit a highest average TRP of 5 percent and repelled the TRP of Big Boss 4 (on Colors) to 3.4 percent on Oct 11.
When ‘Bigg Boss’ aired on October 3, it faced tough competition from the CWG opening, but somehow it managed to grab the attention.
Yesterday other channels like Star Plus, Zee TV and Imagine TV that telecast fiction shows during the time-band, too failed to match KBC with average ratings of 3.2, 2.9 and 1.1 percent, respectively.
