The Santa Barbara, California girl, Katy Perry is eagerly waiting to be a British citizen as she finds UK as her second home.
The ‘California Gurls’ hitmaker who is set to marry her fiance Russell Brand next month admits that getting the Britain citizenship is her top priority after marriage.
"When I get married next month, one of the first things I`ll do is apply for dual citizenship,” the singer was quoted as saying.
"I`m not too sure if I have to take a test as I`ve not had time to look into it. But England is like my second home,” she added.
Katy, 25 who is currently in UK to promote her second album ‘Teenage Dream’, has decided to stay mum about Russell as she wants to focus on her job. But she failed in her attempt.
"I`m trying not to speak about Russell and am concentrating on my music. I`m trying to keep a hold on the celebrity thing. I`m a singer.”
The singer added, “There`s a track on the new album called Firework, which is about him directly. It`s my favourite."
The beautiful singer was donning a T-shirt reading ‘happy’ on the promotional event at London and said, "I`m the happiest I`ve ever been, as you can see by my top."
