Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif has replaced Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to become the new brand ambassador for Gitanjali's Nakshatra Diamond jewellery. It was since 2004 that the Bachchan daughter-in-law (bahu) had been posing as the face for the jewellery brand.

‘I am delighted to be associated with a brand like Nakshatra that has garnered immense popularity not only in India but worldwide. I hope this association is amiable and mutually profitable,’ quipped an ever effervescent Katrina Kaif.

Mehul Choksi, the chairman of the Gitanjali Group, remarked that Katrina Kaif is the perfect person to represent today’s young and stylish woman that Nakshatra targets. Kaif would help towards revitalizing the brand’s look. ‘We are excited about having her on board as the new face for Nakshatra,’ concluded Choksi.
