Ravishing Katrina Kaif has realised the importance of trying out different things in Bollywood to remain the queen of the film industry. After her experimental item number, Sheela Ki Jawaani, the beauty will be seen in the avatar of yesteryear actress Meena Kumari for a number in Farah Khan’s ‘Tees Maar Khan’.
In a special qawalli number, the sizzling actress will be joined by co-star Akshay Kumar and ex-beau Salman Khan, who is making a special appearance in the number.
"Katrina would be seen in an altogether different avtar in this `qawalli`. While Akshay and Salman can be expected to have a lot of fun with this track, it belongs to Katrina as she would surprise the audience," Farah said.
"Katrina`s look has been modeled on `Pakeezah` though I don`t wish to spoil the fun by disclosing more than that as of now," added Farah.
Throwing light on the entry of Katrina in the song, the director said the first half of the song is ruled by the duo Salman and Akshay; the London beauty will make her entry in the middle of the qawalli.
"Do you remember `Yeh Ishq Ishq Hai Ishq Ishq`, the `qawalli` from `Barsaat Ki Raat` which was created 50 years back? It still sounds so fresh. The `qawalli` in `Tees Maar Khan`, though not exactly like that, is on the same lines," Farah said.
Farah further added that Akshay had a big smile on his face when she shared the idea with him. "When I shared the idea with Akshay, he was game for it. He had a big smile on his face when I said that the song would feature the two of them along with Katrina."
Well, we are waiting to see Katrina in legendary actress Meena Kumari’s avatar but will she be able to really match the heights of the veteran actress?
