Katrina Kaif has denied reports of her turning producer with a remake of French film ‘A la folie...pas du tout’ and said she is happy with her acting career.

"I have no clue from where these rumours originate. It all seems to be coming out of thin air. There was never any indication by me in this regard," Katrina said.

There were reports of Katrina playing a student in love with a married doctor in the remake of the French film ‘A la folie...pas du tout’ (‘He Loves Me...He Loves Me Not’). While she insists him to leave his pregnant wife, he doesn't respond accordingly.

"Well, sounds like an interesting story. However, any talk centred on the production of this film or any other movie for that matter is plain speculation," she said.

Katrina looks happy when the talk steers to the super success of ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’.

"Well, yes, we have got an amazing reaction for the film. Honestly, that was never really expected. Hence the way it has opened and sustained itself so well is pretty much a pleasant surprise," said Katrina who paired opposite Ranbir Kapoor in the romantic comedy.

She is conscious that now suddenly everybody feels that Katrina and Ranbir make the hottest on-screen pair and should be seen in more movies.

"Of course, if a good film comes in, I would love to do a film with Ranbir. However, I can't just look at my co-star - I should have an amazing role, the script should be good and so should be the director. Even if one of these anchors fall down, the movie can't be expected to fetch great results," she said.

Katrina would be next seen in Priyadarshan's ‘De Dana Dan’ opposite Akshay Kumar. The film releases this Friday.

For someone who was written off six years ago after the release of ‘Boom’, she has indeed come a long way with more than five hits in two years.

When asked whether she gets impacted by people's adoration, she said, "Frankly, I take it all with a pinch of salt. One can never get too carried away in this industry because at the end of the day, it doesn't achieve you anything at all. The best way is to look at the work you are doing and continue to make careful choices."
