American actress and the wife of Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes is on the verge of making her debut into the Broadway theatre in October this year. The 29-year old actress is going to work in Arthur Miller written drama, All My Sons along with John Lithgow, Dianne Wiest and Patrick Wilson. The Broadway revival of All My Sons will open on October 16 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre, reports a prominent news daily.
The story of All My Sons is based on a true event. It talks about a businessman named Joe Keller who deliberately sells off faulty parts of the airplane to the government. This resulted in the death of about two dozen pilots during the Second World War. Actress Katie Holmes plays the daughter of Keller’s ex business partner in this play. The rehearsals of the play directed by British director Simon McBurney will begin in August.
