Hollywood actress Kate Winslet has ended her four month relationship with model Louis Dowler, shattering the hopes of her family and friends that the romance will last long.
The beauty who has faced two failed marriages and series of broken relationships is said to have realised that she wants to stay alone.
Winslet and her second husband Sam Mendes ended their seven year long marriage ‘amicably and by mutual consent’ in March. However, soon after splitting from Sam, the ‘Titanic’ star was back on dating circuit with the young model.
“Louis was just the tonic Kate needed after her painful split from Sam and they had a wonderful time,” a friend was quoted as saying.
The friend added, “However, they have realised their relationship isn’t working and Kate needs space to be on her own. She is very grateful to Louis for helping her pick her life back up after her marriage ended and they had a lot of fun together, but she felt it had come to an end and wants to concentrate on her career and children.”
Winslet has two kids; six-year-old son Joe with Sam, and her daughter Mia, nine, from her relationship with ex-husband Jim Threapleton.
“Louis was all for supporting Kate in Chicago and has bonded really well with her children. But Kate felt she needed to go alone in the end and have time to herself.”
“She feels she has rushed into things and wants to be alone to find out what it is that she wants,” the friend added.
