Tamil Nadu CM, Kalaingar Karunanidhi, has called for a faster rehabilitation of the Tamils in Sri Lanka, who had been displaced due to the fight that had happened.
He told the reporters that "The rehabilitation process has started and it should be speeded up. We will inform the central government if we have any doubts on the rehabilitation process."
He added that Tamil Nadu government has shipped four relief material consignments to Sri Lanka, apart from what has been promised by central government from its side.
He told that Tamil Nadu has dispatched relief materials worth Rs.15 crore.
About 300,000 Tamils who had been evacuated during the fight between the military and the LTTE are still living in camps in Sri Lanka's north.
