Nano Project has taken new turn after the offer of the land from Karnataka government; however, Singur is still not deserted by Tata. Talking with media professionals in a press conference, Tata Motors MD G Ravikanth said that he has met with the state CM and has been assured that Tata will be offered all support, assistance and required incentives in case of relocation from Singur.
According to reports, the major incentive for Tata Motors could be a location called Dharwad. The place has everything which Tata wants, and it could turn into a deal maker. Informing media professionals about the requirement of the land Ravikant said that Nano project needs about 1,000 acres of land as it is an integrated project.
As continuous deadlock at Singur is still not clear, Tata may take any decision soon. As of now, the firm has not taken any formal decision but Singur pullout is almost sure as Tata Motors has started hunting greener pastures for its project. Ravikant informed that he has analyzed existing factories at Pantagar in Uttarakhand, and Pune in Maharashtra for alternatives, and latest offer from Karnataka government too will be considered for the same purpose.
