Karnataka BJP MLA Raghupathy Bhat’s wife Padmapriya according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (West Delhi) Shalini Singh was found hanging from the ceiling of Shama Apartments in Dwarka Sector 10 late Saturday night. 35-year-old Padmapriya the mother of two children was missing for four days. Her car was found abandoned off the Udipi-Mangalore highway with her keys, cash, mobile, and jewellery still inside it.

 

Shalini Singh further added that a case was registered and investigations were under way. Padmapriya's body was sent to the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Hospital for the post-mortem examination. The police suspected Padmapriya committed suicide. Earlier according to local media reports Padmapriya was traced at Malur near Kolar, about 100 km from Bangalore with her friend by name Atul, said to be an architect in Udupi.

 

Karnataka Director General of Police (DGP) KR Srinivasan in Bangalore said that when he got a clue on Saturday that she was in Delhi, a two-member police team was flown on Saturday evening to trace her with the help of Delhi Police. By the time team could locate the place, she had committed suicide. Police is waiting for post-mortem report for further investigation.
