Karan Johar To Talk On International Collaborations At 7th Dubai International Film Festival (DIF)
Bollywood’s icon filmmaker Karan Johar is set to promote international collaborations at the 7th Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF). The officials of the event informed that the filmmaker known for making romantic movies will talk about business and cultural partnership with other foreign film industries.
Dorothee Wenner, the programme consultant (sub-continent) informed, “This panel will discuss foreign business and cultural collaboration of films. The Indian market is huge. From a foreigner`s point of view, and that includes the Arab world, there are not too many ways of strategic collaborations. There is not much cultural exchange. It would be an industry panel, so there would be professionals sitting there.”
The official also informed that Karan will also be joined by Amit Khanna, Reliance Entertainment chairman at the discussion.
"The masterminds of Bollywood are here because they seek an interaction with, let’s say, Arab sales persons or people who know this market or Indian market. I know professionals here who know who Karan Johar or Amit Khanna are," said Wenner.
7th Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) that opened on Sunday will end on Dec 19.
