For those who really don’t know, let me tell you that Shahid Kaur will be donning a double role and one will get to see Priyanka Chopra as a typical and traditional Marathi girl. The ‘Taare Zameen Par’ writer, Amol Gupte, will be donning the negative character in this movie.
Now let me give you a hint of the movie.
Guddu and Charlie are brothers, born and raised in Dharavi, the world's largest slum dwelling in the heart of the Mumbai. They are identical twins, in early twenties, hoping to leave the nastiness behind and move into a life of prosperity and dignity. But the similarity ends here.
Guddu works as a trainee in a small NGO firm in the city. He hopes to climb up to the top of the corporate ladder. He wants to be a bona-fide member of the growing Indian middle class. His career has only just begun though and the road to success is both long and arduous. Guddu really wants to make it as he is honest, diligent and careful.
Charlie makes a living equivocation bets at the race course. He moves around the plush gang of the rich and famous at the races. For him this is just a way to make quick money and he dreams of becoming a legitimate bookie one day. Charlie is street smart, wily and brave as well as selfish.
The brothers dislike each other. They believe they have nothing in common, not even their speech defect. While Guddu stammers, especially when he is nervous, Charlie has a lisp. The brothers have built their lives so that their paths never cross. They believe it is just a matter of time before they are out of each other's sight forever.
But the one day, everything changes. The rest of the movie deals with what happens to them after that particular day.
Let us wait if Vishal is able to live up to our expectations.
