On Sunday (8th March), Indian golfer and three-time Indian Open winner Jyoti Randhawa, won the Singha Thailand Open Title. Two weeks ago, Jyoti Randhawa had finished with the second spot in the Malaysian Open.  On Sunday (8th March), the 36-year-old golfer put the finishing touches on his flawless round that gave him his first international title in more than 16 months.

Randhawa’s eighth Asian Tour victory at the $500,000 Thailand Open came with a five-under 65 last rounds. In his final round he left behind closest finisher Rhys Davies by two strokes. Talking to media over phone from Phuket, Randhawa said that, he was little bit disappointed after the Malaysian Open, but a win in this tournament would boost his confidence.

Compatriot SSP Chowrasia stumbled on the front nine after having started the day with an eagle. Meanwhile Davies bogeyed the par-five 17th which helped Randhawa to march triumphantly along the tree-lined fairways at the Phuket Golf Club. On the third day, Randhawa shot an eight-under 62 to get into joint lead with Chowrasia and Davies. Now after this win, Randhawa will be hoping to break into the top-100 in the world rankings.
