The fourth season of the United States TV reality program and dance competition, So You Think You Can Dance ended on August 7, 2008 with Joshua Allen being declared the winner. It was for the very first time that the United States of America (USA) wholeheartedly supported and voted a Texan street dancer as its favorite.   

Joshua Allen, who exhibited remarkable grace and agility during the dance competition, could not have been more humble about the whole affair. Winning  prize money of $250,000 as well as a role in the film Step Up 3D, a tearful Allen remarked, ‘Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do something.’

As per the judges of the So You Think You Can Dance TV reality show, it was perhaps because Joshua Allen showed the most heart that coaxed America to vote for him. The fourth season of the dance competition premiered on May 22, 2008 and was hosted by Cat Deeley, who is an English DJ, a TV presenter and a former model.
