Bosses of Disney have dismissed the reports that Johnny Depp would no longer be a part of forthcoming flick, ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides’.
Earlier, Johnny Depp who portrayed the role of Captain Jack Sparrow in the flick, ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ hinted that he will quit the series as he has lost his excitement on the project after the departure of Disney chairman Dick Cook in September this year.
Johnny Depp had said, “There`s a fissure, a crack in my enthusiasm (for the project) at the moment. It was all born in that office.”
However, the spokesperson of Disney has claimed that the 46-year-old actor is very much a part of the upcoming ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides’, and cited the rumours as ‘completely unfounded’.
The ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides’ will hit the theaters in the summer of 2011.
